The Associazione per la Storia Economica (ASE) announces a Call for Papers for its 10th ASE Annual Meeting.
The meeting will be held in Venice on the island of San Servolo, on October 3-4 2025, hosted by the Department of Management, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in cooperation with Venice International University.
The meeting will feature an Economic History Workshop, with presentation of research papers, and the ASE Keynote Lecture, which will be given by professor Sheilagh Ogilvie (All Souls College, University of Oxford). The local organiser of this year’s meeting is professor Giovanni Favero.
Proposals for the economic history workshop should be submitted by e-mail to ase@santannapisa.it by June 16th, 2025, 23.59 CET. You can send either a draft of your paper, or a detailed abstract of about 1,000 words. Accepted papers will be notified by June 30th. Each paper will be assigned to a discussant, who should receive a draft by September 15.
We specifically encourage submissions by PhD students and young researchers, and invite all ASE associates to share the CfP with potentially interested scholars.
Note that a current ASE membership is required to attend the Annual Meeting.
October is still a very busy period for Venice, so we strongly invite you to book as soon as possible your accommodation. We shall send you soon more detailed about accommodation facilities.
