6th ASE Annual meeting: programme online

The program of the Sixth Annual Meeting of the Associazione per la Storia Economica (ASE) that will take place on September 17-18, 2021 is now available.



The meeting will take place in a hybrid format at Banca d’Italia (Centro Convegni Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, via Nazionale 190, Roma) and streamed online. Attendance in Rome will be limited and we invite to express you interest in attending as soon as possible so as to allows organizers to make proper arrangements.

This year, the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, will open the ASE meeting by welcoming all participants and will give a speech in memory of Stefano Fenoaltea.

The Sixth ASE Keynote Lecture this year will be held by Professor Joel Mokyr (Northwestern University), with a talk entitled "Incentives, Institutions, and Industrialization: A Prelude to Modern Economic Growth”. Please note that the lecture is open to all, including non-ASE members - an online invitation will be shared shortly and will only require registration.
