CFP: 9th ASE Annual Meeting: Turin, September 13-14, 2024


The Associazione per la Storia Economica (ASE) announces a Call for Papers for its 9th ASE Annual Meeting.


The meeting will be held in Turin, on September 13-14 2024, hosted by the Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, University of Turin, C.so Unione Sovietica 218, bis, Torino.


The meeting will feature an Economic History Workshop, with presentation of research papers, and the ASE Keynote Lecture, which  will be given by professor Rui Esteves (Geneva Graduate Institute). 


Proposals for the economic history workshop should be submitted by e-mail to ase@santannapisa.it by June 15th, 2024. You can send either a draft of your paper, or a detailed abstract of ca. 1,000 words.  Accepted papers will be notified by June 30th. Each paper will be assigned to a discussant, who should receive a draft by the first week of September.


We specifically encourage submissions by PhD students and young researchers, and invite all ASE associates to share the CfP with potentially interested scholars.


Note that a current ASE membership is required to attend the Annual Meeting.
